Celebrating National Tree Day

Celebrating National Tree Day

Our Commitment to a Greener Future

At INNhotels, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword, it’s a core value that lives at the heart of our company and informs everything we do. As we celebrate National Tree Day, we reflect on the significant impact that trees have on our environment and reaffirm our commitment to a greener, more sustainable future.

The Importance of National Tree Day
National Tree Day serves as a powerful reminder of the vital role that trees play in our lives. From improving air quality and providing shade to supporting wildlife habitats and combating climate change, trees are integral to the health of our planet. This day is not just about planting trees but also about fostering a deeper connection with nature and understanding the responsibilities we have toward preserving it.

Our Sustainable Journey
As part of our ongoing sustainability efforts, INNhotels is dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint and enhancing our environmental stewardship. We have made the 2030 Sustainable Tourism Pledge and work consistently with GreenStep to grow our understanding of what sustainability means and to implement great new processes into our hotels. We understand that every small step contributes to a larger impact, which is why we’re excited to plant 638 trees this National Tree Day!
In partnership with Veritree, a leader in implementing, verifying and tracking reforestation projects, we have already committed to planting 5,259 trees. These trees represent our pledge to take care of our planet and sequester our carbon emissions. To mark National Tree Day, we are allocating 638 trees to celebrate and contribute to this important occasion.

Our Commitment in Action
By choosing to plant trees on National Tree Day, we are taking a tangible step toward improving the environment. Each tree planted helps to:
- Absorb CO2, reducing greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
- Provide habitat and food for wildlife.
- Enhance biodiversity and ecosystem resilience.
- Offer shade and cooling effects, which can reduce energy consumption.

Our partnership with Veritree ensures that these trees are planted in areas where they will thrive and make the most significant impact. Veritree’s expertise and commitment to transparency mean that we can track the growth and success of each planting, giving us confidence in the positive outcomes of our efforts.

Getting Involved
We encourage everyone to join us in celebrating National Tree Day by participating in local tree-planting events, spreading awareness about the importance of trees, or simply taking time to appreciate the natural beauty around us. Every action, no matter how small, contributes to the larger goal of environmental preservation.
At INNhotels, we believe that sustainability is a collective effort, and we are proud to play our part. By planting trees and supporting reforestation initiatives, we are not only enhancing our immediate environment but also contributing to the well-being of future generations.
Let’s celebrate National Tree Day by taking meaningful actions that support the health of our planet. Together, we can make a difference, one tree at a time.

Here’s to a greener, more sustainable future!
