This year round resort town INN BC is a scenic 2½ hour drive from Calgary, Alberta and nestled in the Columbia Valley between the Rocky and Purcell Mountains. The location is perfect for those that love year round adventure activities like golfing, skiing, hiking, fishing and boating. As the economic hub of the area, the quaint town has plenty of boutiques, art galleries, cafes and restaurants. A Rocky Mountain Wilderness Escape Only an hour west of Jasper, surrounded by three mountain ranges, the area is very well-known as one of the top mountain biking, snowmobile & heliski destinations in the world. Not to mention all of the great fishing, hunting, horseback riding and ATV trails. On route to Alaska, the perfect spot to stop along the way.

Grande Cache is surrounded by stunning valleys: Smoky River, Sulphur River, Victor Lake and Grande Cache Lake. To the east of the town is Grande Mountain - a spectacular site to see. As they focus on developing tourism, they’ve become known for hosting the Canadian Death Race.

Red Deer

Prior to European settlement, the area was a gathering place that was inhabited by Aboriginal tribes including the Blackfoot, Plains Cree and Stoney. European fur traders began passing through the area in the late eighteenth century. Into this ethnic mix, the Metis peoples also emerged. A native trail ran from Montana in the south across the Bow River near Calgary and on to Fort Edmonton. About halfway between Calgary and Edmonton, the trail crossed the Red Deer River at a wide, stony shallow used by First Nations peoples and bison, commonly known as buffalo, since ancient times.The shallows, now known as the Old Red Deer Crossing, are about 7 kilometres(4.3 mi) upstream from the present City of Red Deer.
